Romina is a dream carrier, a woman born and raised in Palermo with more than twenty years of experience in activities for children. She is also a mother, in love with the beauties of Palermo, as well as good kitchen and smiles. She will make your children discover the city through play, narration, crafts, cooking, and music.

The walk, led by Romina (dressed as the Genius of Palermo, ancient patron of the city), will start from the city hall, the symbol of the town's political participation, and home of Palermo U Nico, one of the many representations of the Genius.

Through the use of toys recalling symbols and stories of the city, designed and built by hand by two delicate Palermitian artists, Marisa Stassi and Sara Cusenza, aka "Lalabau", you will get to know: the Pretoria Fountain, arrived from Florence to Palermo after a long journey; Bellini Square, surrounded by its domes and churches, and the road called Descent of the Judges (Discesa dei Giudici in Italian), where it will be possible to enjoy an excellent ice cream or one of the best granita in Palermo.

From here, we will go towards the oldest part of the city (and the closest to the sea) passing from Via Alloro, where you will discover the history of the Buca della Salvezza, a hole where two revolutionaries managed to escape, thanks to the mastery of the local women to catch the gendarmes' attention. Then a visit to Villa Giulia, the first municipal villa in Palermo, with the great statue of the Genius of Marabbitti.

Along the way, we will get to know some of the young artisans and artists of the ALAB circuit, many of whom make toys and musical instruments for children. The peculiarity of these craftsmen is that they are all young people, who have invested in a common project that engages them in the preservation of the territory and in the upgrading of the historical center.
