Similar to marzipan, the Real pasta as we call it in Palermo, is sweeter and tastier. It is said that these small fruits were invented by the nuns of the Martorana Monastery in Palermo. Legend has it that the nuns, to make an impression on the bishop, their guest during the Easter period, decorated the trees of the convent, currently fruitless, with these delicious and colorful marzipan fruits.

 

The course we offer has a duration of about 6 hours divided into two days and takes place in the house of our chefs, or in one of the city's historic patisseries.
